How it Works
A Doorway of Hope
Whether it be a blood disorder, cancer diagnosis, or an organ transplant, a life-threatening medical crisis impacts the whole family. This is especially true if they need to travel many miles from their home for treatments that represent the best chance for survival.
Brent's Place provides families a gateway to life-saving care by offering independent living accommodations close to partner hospitals. As the region's only long-term, Safe-Clean housing solution, Brent's Place delivers not only a welcoming space but also individualized family services and a caring support community.

More than 800 volunteers contribute nearly 6500 hours in service of Brent's Place families in a typical year. The year 2020 was anything but typical.

What has not halted during the pandemic is the commitment to keep Brent's Place families safe and comforted. Staff continues to prioritize safety protocols while absorbing volunteer-led programs, like meal service. Above all, Brent’s Place remains a Safe-Clean haven for families who are far from home seeking a medical miracle.
